At Vanderbilt, we go to great lengths to maximise the benefits that strategic land presents. We work closely with landowners and local planning authorities to unlock the short, medium or long term development potential of farmland or previously developed sites. Our experienced planning professionals work hard to identify and promote strategic land opportunities throughout the South East, with a focus on those most suited to deliver the desired results.

The effective medium or long term promotion of sites through the relevant ‘Local Development Plan’ is sometimes necessary and often proves successful. But we’re also rigorous in exploiting current local shortfalls in housing land supply, pushing strategic land forward for development immediately, and in advance of other competing sites.

Our approach is extremely flexible and we will always try to work with landowners for everyone’s mutual benefit. To achieve this we would use option agreements, conditional contracts and land promotion agreements, thus maximising both land values and profitability.
